Original painting in oil 'The Golden Hour' from the collection 'Between going and staying, the day waivers', a series of paintings exploring the calm, misty and sometimes mysterious landscapes.

The colours make this painting dreamy, optimistic  and melancholic.  And may remind us to remain hopeful no matter how difficult times get, as situations and emotions are transient and will pass.

It pairs well with 'The Golden Hour' as a set in different sizes.

Artwork is 40 x 30 cm, oil on canvas.

The piece is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Is there a way to see how the artwork will look on my wall before buying?

Yes, if you are on my mailing list, you can request a room 'mockup'. Simply send me a picture of the wall you'd like to place the art on, with some of the room included in the shot, and I will create a mockup for you to show you how the artwork will look in situ.

What is your process?

I attempt to use the medium to create paintings that respond to the atmosphere of my surroundings. I look both inward and outward and in the moment of painting, I find my way on the canvas which is my approach to creating paintings infused with the emotional immediate memory of landscape.

The atmospheric element of my work is a testament to my desire to create spaces that are sometimes undefined, contemplative and allow room to reflect and accept uncertainty.

Nature is used both in the conceptualization of the work and as a part of the studio practice. I use layers of colors that reveals forms by concealing and unearthing pentimenti and suggests elements of landscape in the process of painting.
